ICSTI has formal relationships with :
As a Scientific Associate of ICSU, the International Council for Science, ICSTI works closely with the scientific unions and CODATA (the Committee on Data for Science and Technology) ) to develop close working relationships with practising research scientists and science decision makers, and to position ICSTI at the forefront of changes in information seeking, sharing and usage behaviours of research scientists. With ICSU and CODATA, ICSTI develops joint projects and joint approaches to funding sources. ICSTI is now represented on ICSU’s Strategic Coordinating Committee on Information and Data.
ICSTI and CENDI Federal STI Managers Group announced in June 2009 a formal partnership agreement which recognises the complementary interests and concerns of their memberships. In addition to providing reciprocal membership benefits, the two organisations will explore joint initiatives, and collaborative opportunities that may include workshops/meetings, projects, commissioning of white papers, and initiating of best practice and benchmarking research.
On 14 December 2009 during the Eleventh International Conference on Grey Literature in Washington, ICSTI and GreyNet, the Grey Literature Network Service, signed a partnership agreement. For ICSTI this new relationship presents opportunities to broaden the scope of its activities both by information type and subject. In addition to collaboration on technical projects and policy issues, it is expected that both organisations will also collaborate in efforts related to grant/tender opportunities where their respective competencies yield unique synergies. And the members of ICSTI and GreyNet will directly benefit from reciprocal links to web materials and discounted rates at conferences and workshops.
