Tribute to Lee DIRKS - Members of ICSTI are greatly saddened at the news of the untimely death of Lee DIRKS and his wife Judy while on vacation in Peru. As Director for Portfolio Strategy at Microsoft Research, Lee was an unfailing supporter of ICSTI activities, particularly with regard to the application of new technologies and the development of innovative ideas. Lee was a man of energy and generosity of spirit, time and thought, and he will be much missed at ICSTI as a friend and colleague. The information science and scholarly communication communities are the poorer for his loss. The thoughts of ICSTI members are with Lee’s two daughters and his family.
