2011 :
ICSTI's 2011 Summer Conference will be held in Beijing, hosted by
ISTIC, the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China. The theme of the meeting will be 'Upgrading Information to Knowledge'.
ICSTI's 2011 Winter Meeting will be held on 6-7 February 2011 and will be followed on 8 February by a Workshop, the theme for which will be 'Multimedia and Visualisation Innovations for Science'. The Workshop will be open to both members and non-members, and both events will be hosted by Microsoft, an ICSTI member, on their Redmond campus, Washington.
2010 :
ICSTI's 2010 Summer Conference was held in Helsinki on 10-11 June preceded by the General Assembly on 8-9 June. Hosted by VTT, the Technical Research Center of Finland in
partnership with the Finnish Association of Information Specialists, this year's conference theme
was 'From Information to Innovation'. VTT have made the speaker presentation powerpoints available as a printed publication but you can also access them by clicking here.
A Public workshop on Interactive Publications and the Record of Science was held at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris on 8 February as an extension of ICSTI's 2010 Winter Meeting. 2009 :
ICSTI’s 2009 Summer Public Conference was organized by NRC-CISTI (Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information), and took place in Ottawa on June 9-10. Following the Public Conference, ICSTI held its Committee meetings on June 11 and General Assembly, Executive Board and Bureau meetings on June 12.
This year’s conference theme entitled “Managing Data for Science” was structured around the ‘Data Lifecycle’ and focused on the management and accessibility of data for the improved effectiveness of scientific research.

2009 :
A Workshop on Primary Data in Libraries' was held as part of the Winter Meeting on 2 March in Paris. At this event a partnership between leading libraries in Europe was announced to facilitate access to research data through the assignment of persistent identifiers and registration of datasets. 2008 :
This year's public conference was hosted by the Korea Institute
of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), in Seoul, Korea, on
June 11-12. It was held at the COEX InterContinental Seoul Hotel.
The theme was: New Frontiers in Scientific and Technical Information.
Invited speakers came from Korea, Japan, China, USA and Europe. The
conference addressed key issues in new trends in scholarly communication,
STI as a dynamic engine for R&D, and scientific data management and
integration.

2007 :
The Public conference, hosted by the British Library
Conference Centre, January 22, 2007, was entitled USER
BEHAVIOUR AND ITS METRICS: Understanding and monitoring
the needs of scholarly authors and researchers.

The public conference held on June 21-22, 2007, at the
invitation of INIST-CNRS Nancy, France
was entitled Assessing the quality and impact of research: practices
and initiatives in scholarly information.

2006 :
A public workshop, entitled Information and Data in
e-Science - Making Seamless Access a Reality, was held on
the topic of seamless delivery of Sci-Tech Information,
covering supply and delivery of STI "to the desktop"
and related technical, economic and legal issues. It was
hosted by the French Ministry of Research, and organised by INIST-CNRS
and INSERM on February 3, 2006.
The annual Public Conference held June 7-8, 2006, at the
invitation of CSA and USGS-NBII, Washington DC., was
entitled PARTNERING IN SCIENCE INFORMATION: NECESSITIES
OF CHANGE. The venue was the Lister Hill Center Auditorium
at the National Library of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland.
2011 :
ICSTI's 2011 General Assembly will be held in Beijing, hosted by

The 2009 Winter Meeting was held in the conference rooms of ICSU, Paris from 28 February to 2 March. The agenda, the minutes for the committee sessions can be found in Members Area.
The first meeting between the Executive Boards of ICSTI and CODATA (the Committee on
Data for Science and Technology) was held after the Winter Meeting in Paris on 2 March.
Issues of common interest and concern were identified as well as
opportunities for collaboration, from which emerged agreement for a jointly
sponsored project and a collective resolve to act ever more closely with
the scientific unions and World Data Centers. Minutes of this meeting will be found in the Members Area.
2008 :
The Winter Meeting was held February 4-6 in Paris, France.
